00:00:59: I'm your host Ivana Yvonnek And this is your mindset.

00:01:02: and marketing podcasts To help you build up business next year nine-to five without burning out.

00:01:38: if you have followed my journey...you know that I've been since twenty-five October.. I moved to Barcelona went on a new adventure thinking....i wanted to go back to Europe be closer to my family which really enjoyed over these last few months!

00:01:58: And I want it to be in Europe for the convenience.

00:02:02: but trick, it was a trick of my mind and most likely now in retrospect looking at it I Was afraid to settle.

00:02:15: I thought i need To go for more bigger higher And do again something different.

00:02:21: well deep down all i wanted to have is A home and peace in mind and work from Home with no proper pants on and stop traveling around the globe.

00:02:32: Well I was afraid to make this decision clearly.

00:02:35: However, very soon it was Christmas of the year and it hit me like oh my god what have you done?

00:02:42: You've been working for the last five years on a life by the ocean work from home with no proper hands-on.

00:02:52: And i'm telling you right now because business is always about decision making I speak to people around the globe when they make a mistake, or something doesn't go too plan.

00:03:08: So many people are afraid of taking responsibility and just simply putting it straight because my family is like What are you doing with your life?

00:03:20: Why are moving again around the globe, why are going from Brazil and Spain to Austria.

00:03:26: To the Caribbean?

00:03:27: And what's that whole point?

00:03:28: but it is discovery.

00:03:30: Often people don't take their responsibility.

00:03:34: Change!

00:03:35: What has went wrong?

00:03:36: because other people might judge them But honestly no one has to understand YOU.

00:03:42: I'm telling this story specifically Because every single decision you make as consequences.

00:03:50: If you don't do you and You may get comfortable with someone else, it will have consequences for your life.

00:03:58: if you do you And Someone Else is maybe upset Then this might Have Consequences too.

00:04:05: Might need explanation might Need some more Conversation but you have chosen you and I would always choose myself over anything else.

00:04:16: so Will I do with every single practice, either in social media and building my brand?

00:04:25: Because every single step you take.

00:04:29: Every move you make might go to plan.

00:04:32: it will work.

00:04:33: It may not go too planned but at the end You always have to make a decision and say this is the direction that i'm heading now.

00:04:41: This is what I'm gonna try.

00:04:42: this how i am going to make it better, and take responsibility for the things that haven't worked out.

00:04:51: Let me give you a specific example... I have a client.

00:04:55: let's call her Danielle.

00:04:57: She has grown.

00:04:58: her audience in followers number over six thousand followers per now.

00:05:05: She has been creating a lot of content.

00:05:07: That content has generated her leads and her decision was to sell only to her email list, which is an absolute great strategy.

00:05:17: but what has happened on that path to generating leads from the content?

00:05:24: And growing her audience?

00:05:26: Is that the content has become so lately lead generation?

00:05:35: At some point I had to ask her and be like, but what happened to the other pillars of your content?

00:05:40: What happens to those pillars where people are prompted to engage with you.

00:05:47: What happened to that content that calls out people to write a nice comment... To give them their likes.. To connect with you?

00:05:55: Where people learn about you Where they're seeking conversation?

00:06:00: And he said, well, Ivana you're absolutely right because now by the looks of it looking at this profile specifically.

00:06:07: You have a great vanity matrix which is a huge follower count.

00:06:11: however to engagement is almost zero Because It has not been taken care off and it looks funny because there Is A huge follower account then They should Have I don't want to say equal, but some sort of an engagement that makes this profile look legit like someone cares for it.

00:06:32: That someone is actually going there and looking at the content And i will also tell you why these matters These days Although You Will Hear on social media that you do not grow in social media with engagement and don't have to engage every day.

00:06:54: There are so many practices, but I believe after listening what i tell today You will understand deeply why engagement matters.

00:07:03: If you look at accounts with zero engagement And just a number of followers It is not trustworthy Everyone will agree and specifically not trustworthy for podcast hosts, if you want to speak on podcasts.

00:07:20: Not trustworthy for stages If You Are a Speaker And You Want To Book More Stages.

00:07:26: Not Trustworthy For Collaborators.

00:07:30: Also Not For Your Future Clients Because They Just Don't See That Something's Going On There And As Soon as something is going there it means people care about it.

00:07:41: all of these people want your leverage.

00:07:45: So let's say you are about to promote a speaking event, or that episode you've been recently on and no one says anything because they were not taught in the community to engage with their content.

00:08:00: it looks almost embarrassing if nobody says nothing!

00:08:06: And this truly matters.

00:08:08: furthermore Having conversations in comments with people, what people say.

00:08:15: How they say it how they phrase It gives so much great evidence on how People are Phrasing their problems.

00:08:25: What words?

00:08:26: Are you think is so valuable data to just take it and pack into another piece of content Because it comes straight from someone who has engaged with that piece was interested hooked on something and felt the need to express themselves in their comments.

00:08:46: This is another very important fact, so go look at your comment and dig for information, dig for data!

00:08:55: And do make this less complicated?

00:08:58: To make these less annoying.

00:09:00: I also want to share with you a few best practices how-to-go about it.

00:09:05: let's imagine the fact that and this counts, by the way for everyone who has already an Orients bill.

00:09:13: What happens when we engage with someone else's content?

00:09:20: what should happen normally is that this person should go then or she'd feel like oh my god I need to back on her account.

00:09:29: leave a comment too because if you start supporting our peers So this is not about clients, it's not about data.

00:09:41: It is about building your own circle of like-minded people – People who do the same work, people you've been collaborating with, people that have been on podcasts and connected to business besties… These people if they care for their content or you will comment back so should YOU!

00:10:07: Every time someone gives a little blurb or heart, I go back and give back because it truly matters.

00:10:15: The algorithm loves that.

00:10:16: people love it!

00:10:17: People care for it.

00:10:18: so this is one practice you can just simply establish with your peers And go back-and forth in freaking support each other.

00:10:26: Another thing if you create content And you want people to comment below.

00:10:33: I'm not saying, Not only your peers and yours close circle but also random people new followers potential buyers or everyone who is binging their content make it simple for them.

00:10:47: If we ask very difficult questions Difficult To Answer Questions That Might Expose Something Very Private questions that are not likely answered in public.

00:11:05: It is very hard to get any kind of engagement, but ask simple question!

00:11:11: Ask the obvious because the person looking at your content doesn't see it as the next obvious.

00:11:19: you need to imagine that you already expert.

00:11:21: You're sitting so far ahead and all those answers already walked that path, but someone who hasn't.

00:11:33: for them it's a learning.

00:11:35: For them is an inspiration.

00:11:37: and ask simple questions so people have an easy time answering them in the comments That simply keep it simple like there is no rocket science behind this.

00:11:51: And then what I also see.

00:11:54: if someone comment then please respond to it.

00:11:59: Respond with a meaningful answer and reply if the comment is meaningful, try to engage further in that conversation.

00:12:09: The algorithm loves that.

00:12:11: Try keep people into loop To really build community And let not comments unanswered.

00:12:24: Honestly It's a privilege treated as such.

00:12:28: And there is one objection that I sometimes hear, people say it's time-consuming.

00:12:36: It's somewhat awkward because they never know what to say below the post.

00:12:42: and i just want to say if you have a list of people who are engaging frequently You will easily find them.

00:12:49: They'll always be on your feed or take two times ten minutes a day.

00:12:56: It's no rock and science, make it a habit that's it!

00:13:00: And if you feel uncomfortable commenting under someone's content... If you feel like you have to make something up ...if you feel it is hard to comment then don't do it.

00:13:14: I am sure you will find Someone That You Care For Friend appear someone who does really cool stuff.

00:13:22: So it is not something you really have to force.

00:13:26: It is not Something that You Have To do although, you don't feel like it because honestly if I see something one of my peers pose and its so Amazing And i absolutely love them Because them for what they do and how to do it, or a client of mine if the finally get out that post.

00:13:46: They were so embarrassed to post!

00:13:47: And then finally say... What I wanted to say?

00:13:50: Of course i go there and give them their love.. Give them the attention.

00:13:56: So....I Do understand If It feels forced ,it is forced and Believe it Or not ..i believe in this whole energy moon thing.

00:14:06: I don't know, people might feel it or not but... It just gives a bad vibe.

00:14:12: So to sum this up Choose for yourself If you want an account with high numbers in following Or if you wanna have an account where people care about your content so that they can show the world.

00:14:27: That is what other people do want to see.

00:14:39: People want you have a message that matters in the world, and are legit here for your long run!

00:14:49: And people will treat you the same way as you treat them even on online platforms.

00:14:56: So go do it and I believe in you at thousand percent that you can achieve anything you set out for.

00:15:03: If you're feeling invisible having a hard time to break through the noise, inconsistent with creating content not knowing what to say and how to say it but deep down you know your message.

00:15:15: And Your work can change people's lives.

00:15:17: then listen up.
